Quick Answer
An online BBA in marketing is a three-year Bachelor of Business Administration in which you choose marketing as your specialization or elective, usually from the second or third year. Chandigarh University, NMIMS, ARKA JAIN, GLA and UPES name a marketing track on their official pages. You need 10+2, and official fees we checked run from about ₹1 lakh to ₹1.85 lakh.
Key Highlights
- A BBA in marketing taken online is still a BBA: the UGC’s 2014 Specification of Degrees sets a minimum of three years and an entry qualification of 10+2, and marketing is the specialization inside it.
- On 3 November 2026, five of the nine universities we checked named a marketing specialization or elective on their official online BBA pages: Chandigarh University, NMIMS, ARKA JAIN, GLA and UPES.
- Amity and LPU teach marketing subjects inside their online BBA but did not show a separate marketing specialization on the pages we read, and Sikkim Manipal’s listed specializations do not include marketing.
- The number of marketing papers differs a lot: Chandigarh University’s marketing page lists eleven marketing-related subjects across six semesters, while ARKA JAIN and GLA concentrate theirs in the last two or three semesters.
- A general marketing BBA covers consumer behaviour, branding, sales, distribution, services and rural marketing; a BBA in digital marketing puts online channels at the centre, and most marketing tracks include only one digital paper.
What is a BBA in marketing?
A BBA in marketing is a Bachelor of Business Administration where, after the common business foundation, you take a set of marketing papers as your specialization. The degree you receive is a BBA. Marketing is the area you concentrate on within it.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. Some universities call marketing a “specialization”, some call it an “elective”, and some simply teach a few marketing subjects to every BBA student without offering a named track at all. When you compare programmes, look past the label and count the actual marketing papers in the syllabus.
The structure is broadly similar everywhere. The first year covers management principles, economics, accounting and communication. Somewhere in the first or second year you meet an introductory paper such as Principles of Marketing or Marketing Management. The specialization papers usually begin in the third or fourth semester and run to the end of the programme, often alongside a project.
Is “BBA in marketing” a separate degree from a BBA?
No. The 2014 Specification of Degrees, published in the Gazette of India on 5 July 2014, lists the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) as a bachelor’s degree with a minimum duration of three years and an entry qualification of 10+2. It does not list a separate “BBA in Marketing” degree. Your specialization is an academic choice within the BBA, and it normally appears on your mark sheets or transcript. Ask the university exactly how it will be shown on your documents before you enrol.
Can you do a BBA in marketing online in India?
Yes. Several universities that appear on the UGC-DEB lists for the 2026-27 academic year offer an online BBA with a marketing specialization or elective. The online mode is governed by the UGC online and ODL regulations of 2020, and Regulation 22 treats degrees earned online from recognised institutions, in line with the 2014 Specification of Degrees, as equivalent to the corresponding conventional degrees.
Two practical conditions apply. First, the university must be listed by UGC-DEB for online mode for your admission session, and the BBA must appear against its name. Second, your BBA will show the mode of delivery on the back of the degree certificate and mark sheets, because Regulation 16(2) makes that mandatory. The mode printed there does not reduce the degree’s equivalence.
If you are still deciding between online study and a distance (ODL) BBA, our comparison of online BBA vs distance BBA explains the rules for classes, attendance and exams in each mode, and lists the full three-year fees at nine universities as checked on 29 October 2026. This article focuses on the marketing track itself.
Which universities offer an online BBA in marketing?
On 3 November 2026 we read the official online BBA page of each of nine universities. Five named a marketing specialization or elective; the other four either teach marketing as core subjects or did not show a marketing track. Here is what each page said.
| University | Marketing option on the official page | When marketing papers start | UGC-DEB 2026-27 online status (BBA) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chandigarh University | “Marketing” specialization, with its own page | Semester 1 (Marketing Management), specialization electives from Semester 3 | Entitled, BBA listed (row 67) |
| NMIMS | Marketing electives (alternatives are Finance and Business Analytics) | Core marketing from Semester 2, marketing electives listed from Semester 4 | Entitled, BBA listed |
| ARKA JAIN University | “Elective 2: Marketing” (alternatives Finance and HR) | Semester 4 | Recognised, BBA listed |
| GLA University | Marketing group among five elective areas | Semester 5 | Entitled, BBA listed (row 115) |
| UPES | “Marketing Management” specialization | Not stated on the page | Entitled, BBA listed (confirm the variant) |
| Amity University (Uttar Pradesh) | No marketing specialization listed; marketing subjects in the core | Semester 1 | Entitled, BBA (General) listed |
| Lovely Professional University | No named specialization on the page; Principles of Marketing in the core | Semester 3 | Entitled, BBA listed |
| Manipal University Jaipur | Not re-checked today (see note below) | Not re-checked | Entitled, BBA listed |
| Sikkim Manipal University | Not among the listed specializations as of 29 October 2026 | Not applicable | Entitled, BBA listed |
UGC-DEB status comes from the 2026-27 entitled universities list and the 2026-27 recognised universities list, as read for our 29 October comparison. Both are scanned PDFs with columns that run together, so where we could not match the BBA line with confidence we say “not confirmed”. Ask those universities to show you their line.
A note on the two Manipal universities: their official programme pages refused our automated check on 3 November 2026, so we have not re-verified them today. As checked on 29 October 2026, Manipal University Jaipur listed seven elective areas including Digital Marketing and Retail and E-Commerce, and Sikkim Manipal University listed Business Analytics and FinTech, Entrepreneurship, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Banking and Insurance. If marketing is your priority, ask MUJ directly whether a general marketing elective runs in your batch.
What subjects do you study in an online BBA in marketing?
You study a common business core plus a block of marketing papers. The marketing block typically covers consumer behaviour, advertising and branding, sales and distribution, services marketing, international marketing and rural marketing, with one paper on digital marketing in most syllabi. The exact list depends on the university, and the differences are bigger than most comparison sites suggest.
Below are the marketing-related subjects exactly as named on each official page on 3 November 2026.
Chandigarh University: marketing from the first semester
Chandigarh University’s online BBA in marketing page sets out the full six-semester plan with 124 credits. The marketing-related subjects are:
| Semester | Marketing-related subjects on the official page |
|---|---|
| 1 | Marketing Management |
| 3 | Elective I: Advertising and Brand Management; Elective II: Product and Pricing Management; Capstone Project I (Specialization-Based) |
| 4 | Consumer Behaviour; Elective I: Sales and Distribution Management; Elective II: Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) |
| 5 | Elective I: Service Marketing; Elective II: International Marketing; Capstone Project II (Specialization-Based) |
| 6 | Digital Marketing; Elective I: Rural Marketing; Elective II: Green and Sustainable Marketing |
That is eleven marketing-related subjects plus two specialization-based capstone projects, which makes it the most marketing-heavy syllabus in this comparison. The page also lists general papers such as Research Methodology, AI for Managers and Banking and Insurance.
NMIMS: marketing in the core, plus marketing electives
The NMIMS online BBA programme page says you can choose marketing, finance or business analytics as your electives. Several marketing subjects sit in the core for every student:
| Semester | Core marketing-related subjects | Listed under “Electives (Marketing)” |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Principles of Marketing | None |
| 3 | Digital Marketing; Consumer Behaviour; Sales Management | None |
| 4 | None | Retail Management, alongside Performance Management System, Environment and Disaster Management, and Fundamentals of Taxation |
| 5 | Customer Relationship Management | Rural Marketing; Strategic Brand Management; Financial Statement Analysis |
| 6 | None | Integrated Marketing Communications; International Marketing |
One caution. On the page we read, the Semester 4 list under “Electives (Marketing)” was identical to the list under “Electives (Finance)”, and it includes non-marketing papers. The page also does not say how many electives you must take. Ask NMIMS for the current elective structure in writing before you choose.
ARKA JAIN University: a compact marketing elective
ARKA JAIN University offers three specializations in its online BBA: Finance, Marketing and HR. Its online BBA page lists “Elective 2: Marketing” as follows:
| Semester | Marketing elective subjects |
|---|---|
| 4 | Consumer Behaviour; Advertising and Sales Promotion |
| 5 | Service Marketing; Brand Management |
| 6 | Sales and Distribution Management; Rural and International Marketing |
The same syllabus shows a separate “Elective 4: Digital Marketing” in Semesters 4 and 5. If you are torn between the two, ask whether you can take one as your main track and the other as an additional elective.
GLA University: marketing as one of two elective groups
GLA University lists five elective areas on its online BBA page: Marketing, Human Resource, Finance, Entrepreneurship and Family Business, and Banking and Insurance, chosen in Semesters 5 and 6. Its official Semester 5 syllabus PDF shows two elective slots each for “Group A” and “Group B” in Semester 5, and two more for each group in Semester 6, so you study two elective areas side by side. The Marketing group lists:
| Semester | Marketing group subjects (4 credits each) |
|---|---|
| 5 | Sales and Distribution Management; Rural Marketing; International Marketing; Digital Marketing |
| 6 | Marketing of Services; Retail Management; Product and Brand Management; Customer Relationship Management |
Because the slots are fewer than the listed subjects, ask GLA which marketing papers will actually run in your batch.
UPES: specialization named, subjects not published
UPES lists “Marketing Management” among seven online BBA specializations on its official BBA page, alongside Digital Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Foreign Trade, Operations Management, Financial Management and Human Resource. The page we read did not list subject names, a semester plan or a fee. Ask for the brochure and a written fee schedule.
Amity and LPU: marketing subjects without a named track
Amity University Online does not list a marketing specialization for its online BBA; its tracks are options such as Data Analytics, Data Science, Travel and Tourism Management and BBA plus MBA. Its curriculum still carries a fair amount of marketing: Principles of Marketing (Semester 1), Principles of Consumer Behaviour and Sales and Distribution Management (Semester 4), Marketing in Digital Age and an elective called Managing Customer Relationships (Semester 5), and Brand Management and Fundamentals of Retailing (Semester 6).
Lovely Professional University shows Principles of Marketing in Semester 3 and E-commerce in Semester 6, with Discipline Specific Electives in Semesters 5 and 6 whose subjects are not named on the page. Its programme data on the page showed no listed specialization. If you want a marketing-focused BBA at LPU, ask which elective baskets are open to online students.
How do the universities compare on marketing depth?
Counting the papers is the quickest way to see what you are really buying. The counts below are our calculation from the official subject lists above, counting subjects whose names are clearly about marketing, sales, branding, advertising, retail or customer relationships.
| University | Marketing-related subjects you would study (our calculation) | Where they sit |
|---|---|---|
| Chandigarh University | 11, plus 2 specialization capstone projects | Spread across all six semesters |
| NMIMS | 5 in the core, plus marketing electives from the lists in Semesters 4 to 6 | Core in Semesters 2, 3 and 5; electives later |
| Amity University | 7 (all core, one of them an elective choice) | Semesters 1, 4, 5 and 6 |
| ARKA JAIN University | 6 | Semesters 4 to 6 |
| GLA University | 4 from a list of 8, assuming two slots in each of Semesters 5 and 6 | Semesters 5 and 6 |
| LPU | 1 named (Principles of Marketing), plus unnamed electives | Semester 3 onward |
| UPES | Not published | Not published |
A higher count is not automatically better. If you are sure about marketing, a programme that starts early gives you more time in the subject. If you are not yet sure, a programme with a broad core and a late choice of elective, such as GLA’s, lets you test your interest before committing.
What does an online BBA in marketing cost?
Official fees at the universities that name a marketing track range from about ₹1 lakh at GLA to about ₹1.85 lakh at Chandigarh University’s list price, before discounts. The figures below were taken from official pages on 3 November 2026. For the full nine-university fee table, including MUJ and SMU, see our online BBA vs distance BBA comparison.
| University | Fee on the official page (3 Nov 2026) | Extras stated | Our note |
|---|---|---|---|
| GLA University | ₹14,750 per semester; ₹99,500 all inclusive | Registration ₹2,000; exam fee ₹1,500 per semester; ₹3,000 benefit on full-fee payment | Electives start in Semester 5 |
| ARKA JAIN University | ₹17,500 per semester | Registration ₹2,500; exam fee ₹3,000 per year | About ₹1,16,500 in total (our calculation) |
| NMIMS | ₹25,000 per semester, ₹47,000 per year, or ₹1,31,000 one-time for the Marketing or Finance electives | Processing ₹1,200; exam ₹800 per subject per attempt; project ₹800 per attempt | Business Analytics electives cost more (₹1,45,000 one-time) |
| Chandigarh University | ₹1,84,998 list on the marketing page; ₹1,38,749 after a 25% early bird scholarship | Seat booking ₹10,000 | The general BBA page showed ₹1,75,000 list and ₹1,31,250 after scholarship |
| LPU | ₹25,000 per semester actual; ₹20,400 with a 20% grant valid until 7 November 2026 | Registration ₹1,000; exam fee ₹2,000 per semester included | No named marketing track on the page |
| Amity University | ₹33,200 per semester; ₹1,99,000 list; ₹1,75,120 one-time | No-cost EMI of ₹7,877 a month for 24 months | No named marketing track |
| UPES | Not published on the page | No-cost EMI mentioned | Ask for a written schedule |
Why does Chandigarh University show two different fees?
On 3 November 2026, Chandigarh University’s general online BBA page showed ₹1,75,000 before the scholarship and ₹1,31,250 after it, while its marketing specialization page showed ₹1,84,998 and ₹1,38,749. The general page also said the early bird scholarship closed “On 14th October” without a year, while the marketing page gave no closing date. We cannot tell from the pages which figure applies to you. Ask the university for a fee letter that names the specialization and the session before you pay the ₹10,000 seat booking amount.
Worked examples (our calculation)
ARKA JAIN University: ₹17,500 x 6 semesters = ₹1,05,000, plus ₹2,500 registration and ₹3,000 x 3 years of exam fees (₹9,000), gives about ₹1,16,500, assuming no repeat exams.
GLA University: the ₹99,500 all-inclusive figure matches ₹88,500 tuition (₹14,750 x 6), ₹9,000 exam fees and ₹2,000 registration. If the ₹3,000 full-fee benefit applies to your payment, the total would be about ₹96,500. Confirm how the benefit is applied.
NMIMS: paying semester by semester costs ₹25,000 x 6 = ₹1,50,000, against ₹1,31,000 one-time. Add the ₹1,200 processing fee and ₹800 for each subject attempt and each project attempt. The exam fee therefore depends on how many subjects you sit and whether you pass each one first time.
LPU: with the 20% grant for all six semesters, ₹20,400 x 6 + ₹1,000 = ₹1,23,400; at the actual fee, ₹25,000 x 6 + ₹1,000 = ₹1,51,000. The grant on the page runs until 7 November 2026 and the page does not say whether it applies to every semester.
What is the eligibility for an online BBA in marketing?
You need to have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. The 2014 Specification of Degrees sets 10+2 as the BBA entry qualification, and each university sets any minimum percentage itself, which the 2020 regulations allow where UGC has not prescribed one. Choosing marketing does not add any extra condition at the universities we checked.
| University | Eligibility on the official page (3 Nov 2026) |
|---|---|
| NMIMS | 10+2 in any discipline with at least 50% (45% for SC, ST, OBC and PwD) |
| UPES | At least 45% in Class 12, or 45% in a three-year diploma after Class 10 |
| Chandigarh University | 10+2 or equivalent in any stream from a recognised board |
| ARKA JAIN University | Pass in 10+2 from any recognised board |
| Amity University | Class 10 and Class 12 certificates; no minimum percentage stated |
| GLA University | Class 12 pass; specific criteria not stated on the page |
| LPU | Not stated on the page we read |
You do not need to have studied commerce. Students from science and arts streams take the same introductory papers in accounting, economics and marketing as everyone else. If you do not have mathematics at Class 12, ask whether the business statistics or business mathematics paper assumes any prior knowledge.
You will also need a DEB-ID, which UGC made mandatory for every online and distance learner from the October 2024 session. It is created through your ABC-ID on the UGC-DEB student portal, and universities ask for it at admission.
How is a BBA in marketing different from a BBA in digital marketing?
A BBA in marketing teaches the whole discipline: how customers decide, how products are priced and branded, how goods reach shops, and how sales teams, advertising and services marketing work. A BBA in digital marketing puts online channels at the centre, such as search, social media, content and analytics, with less time on distribution, rural or international markets.
In the syllabi above, the general marketing tracks each carry one digital paper at most. Chandigarh University has Digital Marketing in Semester 6, NMIMS has it in the Semester 3 core, GLA lists it in the Semester 5 marketing group, and Amity has Marketing in Digital Age in Semester 5. ARKA JAIN runs digital marketing as a separate elective.
| Point | BBA in marketing | BBA in digital marketing |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Full marketing discipline, offline and online | Online channels and tools first |
| Typical papers | Consumer behaviour, branding, sales and distribution, services, rural and international marketing | Search, social media, content, e-commerce and analytics |
| Digital content | Usually one paper | Most of the specialization |
| Who it suits | Students unsure which marketing role they want, or drawn to brands, sales or retail | Students certain they want online marketing work |
If you want both, a general marketing BBA with a strong digital paper keeps more doors open, and you can add short skills courses later. Our article on the online MBA in digital marketing makes the same comparison at master’s level, and the logic carries over to the BBA.
Who should choose an online BBA in marketing?
An online BBA in marketing suits you if you enjoy understanding why people buy things, like talking to people and want a business degree that keeps you close to customers, brands and sales. It also suits people who are already working in sales or a family business and want a degree without leaving their job.
Here are the profiles we see most often:
- Class 12 students who like business but not accounts. Marketing is the most people-focused of the common BBA tracks. If finance papers feel dry to you, a marketing track gives the degree a clearer purpose.
- Young people already working in sales, retail or field roles. An online BBA lets you keep earning while you study, and the subjects connect directly to what you do every day.
- Family business successors. Distribution, pricing, retail and rural marketing papers are directly useful if you will run a shop, a dealership or a small manufacturing unit.
- Aspiring MBA students. If you plan an MBA in marketing later, a marketing BBA gives you a head start on the vocabulary and case work.
It may not suit you if you know you want a purely technical or analytical role, in which case a business analytics track or a BCA may fit better. It also asks for self-discipline: online study means recorded and live classes, assignments and proctored exams, all around your own schedule. Our guide to studying MBA online describes the week-to-week reality of online classes and exams, and nearly all of it applies to a BBA.
What roles can a BBA in marketing lead to?
A BBA in marketing prepares you for entry-level roles in sales, marketing, brand support, retail, advertising and market research. What you are offered depends on your skills, internships, location and the employer’s needs, not on the specialization label alone, so treat any role list as a map of possibilities rather than a promise.
| Area | Typical entry-level roles | Subjects that connect |
|---|---|---|
| Sales and business development | Sales executive, business development executive, territory or channel sales trainee | Sales and Distribution Management, Consumer Behaviour |
| Brand and product marketing | Marketing executive, brand or product assistant | Brand Management, Product and Pricing Management |
| Advertising and communications | Account executive at an agency, communications or promotions executive | Advertising, Integrated Marketing Communication |
| Retail | Store or category trainee, merchandising assistant | Retail Management, Fundamentals of Retailing |
| Market research | Research or field executive, customer insight assistant | Research Methodology, Consumer Behaviour |
| Customer relationships | Customer success or relationship executive | Customer Relationship Management, Services Marketing |
| Rural and FMCG distribution | Rural sales or distribution trainee | Rural Marketing, Sales and Distribution Management |
We have not quoted salary or placement figures. University pages and third-party sites often publish them without method or sample size, and we could not verify any from official sources. If a university gives you placement claims, ask for the year, the number of online learners counted and whether the figures cover online students at all.
What can you do after an online BBA in marketing?
The most common next step is a postgraduate management degree, usually an MBA with a marketing specialization. A three-year BBA from a UGC-listed university meets the graduation requirement that online MBA programmes ask for, subject to each university’s minimum percentage.
You can also start work straight after the BBA and do an MBA later, which many people find makes the MBA more useful because they bring real examples to class. Our overview of the types of MBA in India compares full-time, online, distance and executive formats, and our online MBA fees comparison shows what the next degree costs at the same universities. When you are ready, the online MBA admission process guide covers documents and deadlines.
Some universities offer a combined route. Amity’s online BBA page lists a “BBA + MBA” track. If that interests you, ask exactly which two degrees you receive, when each is awarded, and whether both appear on the UGC-DEB list for your session.
Online courses after a BBA, such as short certificates in analytics or digital tools, can add specific skills, but they are not degrees. Keep them as additions to the BBA rather than substitutes for an MBA if a master’s degree is your goal.
How to choose the right online BBA in marketing
Pick the programme whose marketing papers, timing and total cost fit your plans, and check its UGC-DEB listing before you pay anything. A simple order of checks works well:
- Confirm the listing. Open the UGC-DEB list for your session and find the BBA against the university’s name. Our guide to checking a UGC approved online programme walks through the steps using the MBA as the example, and the method is identical for a BBA.
- Read the marketing syllabus. Count the marketing papers and note when they start. A syllabus that names subjects is a better sign than a page that only names the specialization.
- Ask how the specialization appears on your documents. Ask whether “Marketing” is printed on the degree, the mark sheets or only the transcript.
- Get a written fee schedule. Ask for tuition, registration, exam and project fees, and whether any scholarship or grant applies to all six semesters.
- Check exam requirements. Ask what device, browser and internet speed the proctored exams need, and whether exams can be taken from home.
- Check timelines. Note admission deadlines and offer expiry dates. On 3 November 2026, LPU’s grant ran to 7 November 2026, and other offers had no clear date.
The UGC’s public notice on admission precautions asks students to make similar checks, including looking at the university’s own UGC application and approvals.
Red flags when choosing a BBA in marketing online
Most marketing BBA advertising is accurate, but a few patterns deserve a second look.
| What you see | Why it is a concern | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| A “BBA in Marketing” that takes one or two years | The 2014 Specification sets three years as the minimum for a BBA | What exact award will I receive, and from which institution? |
| A marketing specialization with no subject list | You cannot judge how much marketing you will study | Can you send me the semester-wise syllabus for the marketing track? |
| Two different fees for the same programme | You may pay more than you budgeted | Can you give me a fee letter naming my specialization and session? |
| Placement or salary figures with no year or sample size | They cannot be checked and may not cover online students | Which year, how many online learners and which employers? |
| A company, not the university, collecting fees | UGC does not allow franchise arrangements with private service providers | Will I pay the university directly and receive a receipt in its name? |
| A promise that the degree will not mention online mode | Regulation 16(2) requires the mode on the back of the certificate | Can I see a sample degree certificate and mark sheet? |
If you would like help comparing these marketing syllabi, fees and eligibility rules against your own plans, an admission advisor can go through the official pages and UGC-DEB listings with you before you apply.
How GetOnlineDegree.in Helps
We compare online programmes from universities that appear on the UGC-DEB lists, using each university’s own syllabus, fee and eligibility pages rather than third-party estimates. When you speak to us about a BBA in marketing, we can show you the marketing subjects each shortlisted university publishes, the official fee schedule for your session and the university’s line on the DEB list. We can also point out where a page is unclear, such as a missing fee or an elective list that does not add up, so you know what to ask. The choice of university and specialization stays with you.
Conclusion
A BBA in marketing studied online is a three-year BBA with a marketing specialization or elective, open to anyone who has passed 10+2, and valid when the university and programme are on the UGC-DEB list for your session. The real differences lie in the syllabus and the cost. Chandigarh University starts marketing in the first semester and lists eleven related subjects; ARKA JAIN and GLA concentrate theirs in the final years; NMIMS mixes core marketing papers with later electives; Amity and LPU teach marketing without a named track.
Official fees at the universities that name a marketing track run from about ₹1 lakh to about ₹1.85 lakh before discounts, and extras such as registration and exam fees change the real total. Read the semester-wise syllabus, get a fee letter that names your specialization, and confirm the listing before you pay.
FAQs
Is an online BBA in marketing valid in India?
Yes, when the university and its BBA are listed by UGC-DEB for online mode for your admission session. Regulation 22 of the UGC 2020 regulations treats online degrees from recognised institutions as equivalent to conventional degrees. The mode of delivery is printed on the back of the certificate and mark sheets. Specific employers and recruitment notices can still set their own conditions, so read those for any job you target.
What are the main subjects in a BBA in marketing?
Most syllabi include Principles of Marketing or Marketing Management, Consumer Behaviour, Brand Management, Advertising, Sales and Distribution Management, Services Marketing, International Marketing and Rural Marketing, usually with one Digital Marketing paper. Chandigarh University, NMIMS, ARKA JAIN and GLA publish their marketing subject lists on their official pages. Always read the semester-wise list for your batch, because electives can change.
Can I do a BBA in marketing after Class 12 from the science or arts stream?
Yes. The BBA entry qualification is 10+2, and the universities we checked accept any stream. NMIMS asks for at least 50% (45% for reserved categories), UPES asks for 45%, and Chandigarh University and ARKA JAIN ask for a pass in 10+2. Commerce is not required, because the first year teaches accounting, economics and marketing basics.
How much does an online BBA in marketing cost?
On 3 November 2026, official fees at universities naming a marketing track ranged from ₹99,500 all inclusive at GLA University to ₹1,84,998 list at Chandigarh University, before scholarships. ARKA JAIN comes to about ₹1,16,500 and NMIMS charges ₹1,31,000 one-time for its marketing electives. Add registration, exam and project fees, and confirm offer dates before paying.
Should I choose a BBA in marketing or a BBA in digital marketing?
Choose a general marketing BBA if you want broad options across brands, sales, retail and advertising, or are not yet sure which role suits you. Choose digital marketing if you are certain you want online marketing work. Most general marketing tracks include one digital paper, so you will still cover the basics of online channels either way.
