Quick Answer
A BBA in digital marketing is a three-year Bachelor of Business Administration in which some electives cover search, social media, e-commerce and online advertising. Online, Manipal University Jaipur and Chandigarh University offer it as a named specialization, and ARKA JAIN offers a digital marketing elective group. Amity, NMIMS and UPES include one digital subject. You need 10+2 to apply.
Key Highlights
- A BBA in digital marketing is still a full BBA: most of your six semesters are general business subjects, and the digital marketing electives arrive from semester 3 (Chandigarh University) or semester 5 (Manipal University Jaipur).
- Among nine UGC-DEB listed universities we checked on 3 November 2026, only Manipal University Jaipur and Chandigarh University name Digital Marketing as an online BBA specialization; ARKA JAIN runs it as an elective group of four subjects.
- Official fees for the dedicated tracks run from ₹1,05,000 in tuition at ARKA JAIN (₹17,500 a semester) to ₹1,75,000 list at Chandigarh University, before offers and extra charges.
- Eligibility is 10+2 everywhere we checked, but minimum marks differ: 40% at Manipal University Jaipur, 45% at UPES and 50% at NMIMS (45% for reserved categories).
- Google and Meta run their own free training and certification portals, which you can take alongside the degree; none of the BBA pages we checked says a Google or Meta exam is included.
What is a BBA in digital marketing?
It is a Bachelor of Business Administration where you choose digital marketing as your specialization or elective group. The degree you receive is the university’s BBA. The specialization decides which electives you study, not the name of the degree.
The UGC’s 2014 Specification of Degrees lists the BBA as a bachelor’s degree with a minimum duration of three years and an entry qualification of 10+2. Every online programme in this article runs for three years over six semesters, and every one follows the same pattern: two or more semesters of general business subjects first, then electives.
So when a brochure says “BBA in Digital Marketing”, read it as “BBA with a digital marketing specialization”. In the best online versions we found, about six to eight of your subjects are digital marketing electives. In the thinnest, it is a single subject inside a general BBA. That difference is the main thing this article helps you check.
Is a BBA in digital marketing the same as a digital marketing course?
No. A short digital marketing course teaches tools and channels over weeks or months and awards a certificate. A BBA is a three-year undergraduate degree with accounting, economics, management, law and statistics alongside the marketing subjects. If you only need tool skills for a job you already have, a course may be enough. If you are starting after Class 12 and want a degree that also covers digital marketing, the BBA is the fit. Our explainer on the online MBA certificate vs degree sets out what each type of award actually gives you, and the logic is the same at bachelor’s level.
Which universities offer a BBA in digital marketing online?
Two of the nine universities we checked name Digital Marketing as an online BBA specialization: Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) and Chandigarh University (CU). ARKA JAIN University offers “Elective 4: Digital Marketing” as one of its elective groups. The rest include one digital subject in the core curriculum, or none that we could find.
| University | How digital marketing appears in the online BBA | Official page |
|---|---|---|
| Manipal University Jaipur | Named specialization: Online BBA with Specialization in Digital Marketing | MUJ online degrees |
| Chandigarh University | Digital Marketing listed among the BBA specializations | CU online BBA |
| ARKA JAIN University | Elective group “Digital Marketing” in semesters 4 and 5 | ARKA JAIN online BBA |
| NMIMS | Digital Marketing is one core subject in semester 3; electives are Marketing, Finance or Business Analytics | NMIMS online BBA |
| Amity University (Uttar Pradesh) | Marketing in Digital Age is one core subject in semester 5 | Amity online BBA |
| UPES | Basics of Digital Marketing is one subject in semester IV of the Marketing Management specialisation; a Digital Business BBA appears in its menu | UPES BBA marketing |
| Lovely Professional University | E-commerce is a core subject in semester 6; elective subjects are not named on the page | LPU online BBA |
| Sikkim Manipal University | E-commerce and Marketing Communication and Advertising are core subjects in semester 5; no digital marketing specialization | SMU online degrees |
| GLA University | Electives in marketing, human resource, finance, entrepreneurship and family business, and banking and insurance; no digital marketing elective named | GLA online BBA |
All pages checked on 3 November 2026. Specializations change between intakes, so ask the university to confirm the current list in writing before you pay.
A note on UPES: its BBA menu lists a Digital Business programme, but the page did not load its programme content when we checked, so we have not listed its subjects. If digital business interests you, ask UPES for the semester-wise syllabus.
What subjects will you study in a BBA in digital marketing?
You study general business subjects in the first two to four semesters, then digital marketing electives. The exact elective names below come from each university’s official page.
Manipal University Jaipur: Online BBA with Specialization in Digital Marketing
MUJ’s page lists 126 credits over six semesters and suggests 15 to 20 hours of study a week. The first four semesters are common to every BBA specialization. They include Financial Accounting, Microeconomics, Office Automation Tools, Introduction to Python, Statistics for Managers, Marketing Management, Business Research Methods and E-Commerce, along with other core subjects.
The digital marketing electives sit in the final year:
| Semester | Digital Marketing electives at MUJ |
|---|---|
| 5 | Introduction to Digital Media; IT in Business; Entrepreneurship and Digital Marketing |
| 6 | E-Marketing; Advertising and Brand Management; New Media and Social Media Spectrum |
Semester 5 also has core subjects in Fundamentals of Business Analytics and International Business Management, and you start a six-month project that you finish in semester 6. The page says the project can be done at your workplace in your elective area, which is useful if you already work in a marketing team.
MUJ’s Data Analytics elective group is worth a look too: it includes Social Media and Web Analytics in semester 6. You cannot take both groups, but it shows where measurement skills sit in this programme. See our Manipal University Jaipur profile for its other programmes.
Chandigarh University: Digital Marketing specialization
CU’s page lists a minimum of 124 credits and spreads specialization electives across semesters 3 to 6, which gives digital marketing more room than any other programme here.
| Semester | Digital Marketing electives at CU |
|---|---|
| 3 | Marketing in the Digital World; Omni Channel Marketing |
| 4 | Email, Mobile, and Lead Generation Strategies; Search Marketing: SEO and SEM |
| 5 | Social Media Marketing; Affiliate and Influencer Marketing |
| 6 | Search Marketing Skills; Social Media Listening and Analytics |
On top of these eight electives, Digital Marketing itself is a core subject in semester 6 for every CU BBA student, and Marketing Management (semester 1) and Consumer Behaviour (semester 4) are core too. Semesters 3 and 5 each carry a specialization-based capstone project with a live industry project, according to the page. CU lists its exams as “On Demand Examination”, so you can schedule when you are ready.
This is the most channel-specific list we found: search, email, lead generation, social, affiliate and influencer marketing each get a named subject.
ARKA JAIN University: Elective 4, Digital Marketing
ARKA JAIN’s online BBA has five elective groups, and Digital Marketing is one of them. It has four named subjects:
| Semester | Digital Marketing elective subjects at ARKA JAIN |
|---|---|
| 4 | Introduction to Digital Marketing; International Marketing |
| 5 | Digital Marketing and E-Commerce; Inbound Marketing |
The semester 6 list on the page names elective subjects for Human Resource, Marketing and Finance but none for Digital Marketing, so ask the university what you would study in that semester. The core curriculum also includes Digital Business Management (semester 2), Marketing Management (semester 3) and E-commerce (semester 5). ARKA JAIN’s BBA appears on the UGC-DEB recognised list rather than the entitled list; more on that below and on our ARKA JAIN University page.
NMIMS, Amity and UPES: one digital subject in a general BBA
These three teach a single named digital marketing subject.
- NMIMS teaches Digital Marketing as a core subject in semester 3, alongside Consumer Behaviour and Sales Management. Its marketing electives later include Retail Management, Rural Marketing, Strategic Brand Management, Integrated Marketing Communications and International Marketing.
- Amity teaches Marketing in Digital Age in semester 5, with Principles of Marketing in semester 1, Principles of Consumer Behaviour in semester 4 and Brand Management in semester 6. Amity’s tracks include Data Analytics, Data Science and Travel and Tourism Management, but not digital marketing. More on our Amity University Online page.
- UPES’s BBA with specialisation in Marketing Management includes Basics of Digital Marketing in semester IV, with Data Visualization, Services Marketing, Managing Brands and Integrated Marketing Communication elsewhere in the plan.
LPU, Sikkim Manipal and GLA: no digital marketing elective named
LPU’s page lists E-commerce as a core subject in semester 6, but its discipline-specific electives appear only as “Discipline Specific Elective I to IV”, without subject names. Ask LPU which elective baskets are open to BBA students before you enrol. See our LPU Online page for the university’s other programmes.
Sikkim Manipal’s online BBA offers four specializations: Business Analytics and FinTech, Entrepreneurship, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Banking and Insurance. Its core includes Marketing Research, Marketing of Services and Consumer Behavior in semester 4, and E-commerce and Marketing Communication and Advertising in semester 5. GLA’s page names marketing as one of its electives in semesters 5 and 6 and keeps the subject lists in downloadable PDFs. You can compare both on our Sikkim Manipal University and GLA University pages.
How many digital subjects do you actually get?
Counting named subjects is the fastest way to compare. Here is the count from each official page, as checked on 3 November 2026.
| University | Named digital marketing electives | Digital or e-commerce subjects in the core | Total digital subjects (our count) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chandigarh University | 8 (semesters 3 to 6) | Digital Marketing (sem 6) | 9 |
| Manipal University Jaipur | 6 (semesters 5 and 6) | E-Commerce (sem 4) | 7 |
| ARKA JAIN University | 4 (semesters 4 and 5) | Digital Business Management (sem 2); E-commerce (sem 5) | 6 |
| NMIMS | None as a group | Digital Marketing (sem 3) | 1 |
| Amity University | None as a group | Marketing in Digital Age (sem 5) | 1 |
| UPES (Marketing Management) | None as a group | Basics of Digital Marketing (sem IV) | 1 |
| Sikkim Manipal University | None | E-commerce (sem 5) | 1 |
| LPU | Not named on page | E-commerce (sem 6) | 1 |
| GLA University | Not named on page | Not named on page | Not determinable from the page |
“Our count” adds every subject in the digital marketing elective group to core subjects with digital marketing, digital business or e-commerce in the title. It does not include general marketing, IT or analytics subjects outside the digital marketing group.
The count is not a quality score. A programme with nine subjects that never asks you to run a campaign may teach you less than one with six subjects and a strong project. But if a university offers one digital subject and calls the programme digital marketing in an advert, the count tells you what you are really buying.
BBA in digital marketing vs BBA in marketing: what is the difference?
The difference is in the electives. A BBA in marketing covers brand management, consumer behaviour, sales and distribution, advertising, services and international marketing, usually with one digital subject. A BBA in digital marketing swaps most of those for search, social media, email, e-commerce and analytics subjects. The first two years are almost the same.
MUJ shows this side by side because it offers both specializations on the same BBA:
| Semester | MUJ Marketing electives | MUJ Digital Marketing electives |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | International Marketing; Consumer Behavior; Digital Marketing | Introduction to Digital Media; IT in Business; Entrepreneurship and Digital Marketing |
| 6 | Sales and Distribution Management; Advertising Management; Green Marketing | E-Marketing; Advertising and Brand Management; New Media and Social Media Spectrum |
Source: the official MUJ BBA digital marketing page on onlinemanipal.com, which lists the electives of every specialization, checked on 3 November 2026.
Choose marketing if you want a broad base for brand, sales or trade marketing roles, or if you are unsure which part of marketing you like. Choose digital marketing if you already know you want channel work such as search, social or e-commerce, or you run or plan to run an online business. We cover the marketing-only track in more depth in a separate guide; this article stays with the digital route.
How much does an online BBA in digital marketing cost?
Choosing digital marketing does not change the fee at the universities we checked: you pay the standard BBA fee. As checked on 3 November 2026, the three dedicated digital marketing options cost ₹1,05,000 in tuition (ARKA JAIN), ₹1,44,000 (MUJ) and ₹1,75,000 list (CU), before offers.
| University and track | Official fee as checked on 3 November 2026 | Offers and extras shown on the page |
|---|---|---|
| ARKA JAIN (Digital Marketing elective) | ₹17,500 per semester | Registration ₹2,500; exam fee ₹3,000 per year |
| Manipal University Jaipur (Digital Marketing) | ₹24,000 per semester; ₹1,44,000 course fee | ₹1,29,600 if paid in full (10% discount); ₹45,600 a year if paid annually (5% discount); application fee ₹500; EMI from ₹4,000 a month; page showed 3 November 2026 as the last admission date for the current intake |
| Chandigarh University (Digital Marketing) | ₹1,75,000 programme fee | 25% early bird scholarship to ₹1,31,250 (₹21,875 a semester); seat booking ₹10,000; the page’s banner gives a closing date of 14 October without a year, so confirm whether it still applies |
For the full online BBA fee table across all nine universities, including SMU at ₹90,000, GLA at ₹99,500 all inclusive, NMIMS at ₹1,31,000 one-time and Amity at ₹1,99,000 list, see our comparison of online BBA vs distance BBA. We rechecked those figures today and the list fees had not changed. One update: LPU’s 20% Student Grant, which brings its ₹25,000 semester fee to ₹20,400, is now shown as valid until 7 November 2026.
What does each dedicated track really cost?
Headline semester fees leave out registration and exam charges. Here is what the three dedicated tracks add up to, assuming you pass every exam first time.
ARKA JAIN, our calculation:
- Tuition: ₹17,500 x 6 semesters = ₹1,05,000
- Registration: ₹2,500
- Exam fee: ₹3,000 x 3 years = ₹9,000
- Total: about ₹1,16,500
MUJ, our calculation:
- Semester-wise: ₹24,000 x 6 = ₹1,44,000, plus ₹500 application fee = ₹1,44,500
- Full payment: ₹1,29,600 plus ₹500 = ₹1,30,100
- Annual payment: ₹45,600 x 3 = ₹1,36,800, plus ₹500 = ₹1,37,300
Chandigarh University, our calculation:
- At list price: ₹1,75,000
- With the 25% early bird scholarship, if it applies to your intake: ₹1,31,250
- The ₹10,000 seat booking amount is described as booking your seat; ask whether it is adjusted against the programme fee
These totals exclude resit fees, which MUJ’s page says are charged with a re-sitting application if you fail a paper. Ask every university for its resit and re-registration charges in writing.
What is the eligibility for an online BBA in digital marketing?
You need to have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. The minimum percentage depends on the university, and some do not state one.
| University | Eligibility stated on the official page |
|---|---|
| Manipal University Jaipur | 40% marks in 10+2; the eligibility section also accepts a 10+3 diploma from a recognised institute |
| Chandigarh University | 10+2 or equivalent in any stream from a recognised board, university or council |
| ARKA JAIN University | Pass in the 10+2 examination from any recognised board |
| NMIMS | 10+2 in any discipline with 50% (45% for SC, ST, OBC and PwD) |
| UPES | 45% in Class 12, or 45% in a recognised three-year diploma after Class 10 |
| Amity University | 10+2 pass with sufficient knowledge of English; Class 10 and 12 certificates required |
| Sikkim Manipal University | 10+2 |
| LPU | Not stated on the BBA page we checked; ask admissions |
| GLA University | Page describes fresh Class 12 pass-outs and working professionals with Class 12 as the audience; ask for the minimum marks |
Checked on 3 November 2026. You do not need a commerce background at the universities that state “any stream” or “any discipline”. Maths in Class 12 is not listed as a requirement on any of these pages.
Every Indian learner joining an online or distance programme now also needs a DEB-ID, which you create through your Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) account on the UGC-DEB student portal. Keep your ABC-ID ready before you apply.
Is an online BBA in digital marketing valid in India?
Yes, if the university is permitted to offer the BBA in online mode for your admission session. The UGC’s online and ODL regulations treat online degrees from recognised institutions as equivalent to conventional degrees, and require the mode of delivery to be printed on the back of the degree and mark sheet.
Permission is granted university by university and programme by programme. For the 2026-27 sessions, UGC-DEB published separate lists for universities that are entitled to run online programmes and for those recognised for specific programmes. In our earlier check of the 2026-27 entitled universities list, we matched the BBA line for SMU, MUJ, LPU, NMIMS, UPES and Amity, and on re-reading the page images on 3 November 2026 we also found it for Chandigarh University (row 67) and GLA University (row 115). ARKA JAIN’s BBA is on the 2026-27 recognised universities list, with recognition running from the February 2025 session to July-August 2029.
One more point specific to specializations. The lists name programmes, such as “BBA”, not every specialization. So the question to ask is: “Is the BBA I am joining the programme on your 2026-27 UGC-DEB list, and will the degree be the same BBA?” Our guide to the UGC approved online MBA walks through the checking steps, and the same steps work for a BBA.
How do online classes and exams work in this course?
Most of your learning happens on the university’s learning platform, through recorded lectures, live sessions, reading material and quizzes. Exams are held online with proctoring at the universities that describe them.
A few specifics from the official pages:
- MUJ says its term-end exams are computer-based and online proctored, and it suggests 15 to 20 hours of study a week.
- LPU recommends 8 to 10 hours a week, with live and recorded lectures, and says batches start every six months.
- CU lists on-demand examinations.
- Under the UGC regulations, continuous assessment can be at most 30% of your marks and the term-end exam at least 70%.
If you have never studied online before, our guide to studying MBA online explains how the platform, live classes and proctored exams work week to week. Almost all of it applies to a BBA too.
For digital marketing, the online format has a side benefit: you are learning about online channels on an online platform. Use that. Notice how the university’s own emails, ads and landing pages are built, and treat them as case studies.
Which certifications can you add alongside the degree?
You do not need any certification to graduate, but platform certifications show you can use a specific tool, while the BBA shows business depth. Two sets come directly from the platforms themselves.
| Platform | What the official page offers | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Skillshop describes itself as online training for the Google tools you use at work, with e-learning courses designed by Google product experts and a “Get Certified” section that covers Google Ads certification; products named include Google Ads, Google Analytics and Google Marketing Platform | Google Skillshop | |
| Meta | Meta Blueprint offers free online courses, live webinars and videos, and lists certifications such as Digital Marketing Associate (beginner), Media Planning Professional and Media Buying Professional | Meta Blueprint catalog |
Neither page, as checked on 3 November 2026, gave the cost of a certification exam, so confirm that on the platform before you plan around it. MUJ’s page mentions paid Coursera access, and LPU’s mentions LinkedIn Learning; neither says a Google or Meta certification is included in the BBA.
A sensible order: take the matching platform training when your electives cover that channel. At CU, that would be Google’s search training around semester 4 (Search Marketing: SEO and SEM) and Meta’s training around semester 5 (Social Media Marketing). At MUJ, both fit semester 6 (E-Marketing; New Media and Social Media Spectrum).
What roles does a BBA in digital marketing prepare you for?
It prepares you for entry-level marketing roles where much of the work happens online. MUJ’s page lists job profiles including digital marketing, email marketing, digital advertising, performance marketing, affiliate marketing, growth marketing, market research and SEO. UPES lists social media specialist and marketing coordinator as entry roles for its marketing specialisation.
In practice, the first jobs for a fresh BBA graduate in this area tend to be executive or associate roles: social media executive, SEO executive, paid media or performance marketing associate, content marketing executive, e-commerce executive, or marketing coordinator. In a small company, one person often does several of these. In an agency, you might work across many clients on one channel.
We do not quote salary or placement figures. No official dataset tracks outcomes for online BBA graduates by specialization, and the career figures on aggregator sites are rarely sourced. If a university quotes placement numbers, ask whether they cover online BBA learners specifically, and for which year.
What tends to matter more than the degree title at entry level is evidence you can do the work. A portfolio, even a small one, helps: a blog you grew through search, a social account you managed for a local business, or a small paid campaign you ran with clear results. Plan your BBA project around something you can show.
Should you do a BBA in digital marketing or a BBA followed by an MBA?
If you are starting after Class 12, the BBA comes first either way: you need a bachelor’s degree before any MBA. Our guide to an MBA without a bachelor's degree explains why.
The real choice is when to specialise. A BBA in digital marketing builds channel skills early, so you can work in a digital role during or straight after your degree. A general or marketing BBA keeps more options open, and you can specialise in digital marketing at postgraduate level later. Amity, MUJ, CU and LPU all offer a named online MBA in digital marketing; our guide to the online MBA in digital marketing compares their subject lists and fees.
| Your situation | A reasonable route |
|---|---|
| You know you want digital marketing work and want to start earning early | BBA in digital marketing (CU, MUJ or ARKA JAIN), with platform certifications alongside |
| You like marketing but are unsure which part | BBA in marketing or a general BBA with a digital subject, then decide on an MBA specialization later |
| You already work in a family business or run an online shop | BBA in digital marketing, using your business for projects; MUJ also has an Entrepreneurship and Family Business group if that fits better |
| You want management roles across functions in the long run | A broad BBA now, and compare types of MBA later |
How do you choose between the three dedicated tracks?
Compare them on depth, timing, cost and recognition status. Here is how they line up, from the official pages checked on 3 November 2026.
| Factor | Chandigarh University | Manipal University Jaipur | ARKA JAIN University |
|---|---|---|---|
| Named digital marketing electives | 8 | 6 | 4 |
| When digital electives start | Semester 3 | Semester 5 | Semester 4 |
| Channel subjects named | SEO and SEM, email and lead generation, social, affiliate and influencer, social listening | Digital media, e-marketing, advertising and brand, new and social media | Introduction to digital marketing, inbound, digital marketing and e-commerce |
| Projects | Two capstone projects with live industry projects | Six-month project across semesters 5 and 6 | Research project in semester 6 |
| List fee | ₹1,75,000 | ₹1,44,000 | About ₹1,16,500 with extras (our calculation) |
| Minimum 10+2 marks stated | Not stated (any stream) | 40% | Pass |
| UGC-DEB status for BBA, 2026-27 | Entitled, BBA listed | Entitled, BBA listed | Recognised, BBA listed |
If depth of channel subjects is your priority, CU has the most. If you want a strong common business base first and digital electives in the final year, MUJ is structured that way. If budget is the main limit, ARKA JAIN has the lowest tuition, with fewer digital subjects and a semester 6 gap you should ask about.
Whichever you lean towards, check five things in the official syllabus:
- Count the digital subjects, as in the table above.
- Look for measurement. Social listening and analytics (CU) or web analytics (MUJ’s Data Analytics group) matter because digital marketing is judged on numbers.
- Check the projects. Ask what a typical project looks like and whether you can do it on a live account.
- Ask which tools you will use. None of the three pages names specific ad or analytics tools in its subject list.
- Confirm the semester 6 subjects in writing, especially at ARKA JAIN.
Questions to ask before you enrol
- Is Digital Marketing a full specialization on this BBA, or one subject inside a general BBA?
- Can you send the semester-wise syllabus for the digital marketing electives, with subject names?
- Is the BBA I am joining on your 2026-27 UGC-DEB list, and under which programme name?
- Which tools or platforms will I use in assignments and projects?
- What is the total fee for all six semesters, including registration, exam, resit and re-registration charges?
- Does the current scholarship or discount apply to every semester, or only the first?
- How are exams conducted, and what equipment and internet speed do I need?
Once you have the answers, the admission steps are straightforward. Our online BBA vs distance BBA guide also explains how to confirm you are joining the online mode and not a distance programme, which matters because the mode is printed on your degree.
If you would like help comparing the CU, MUJ and ARKA JAIN digital marketing electives against your goals, you can speak to an admission advisor and we will go through the official subject lists and fee schedules with you.
How GetOnlineDegree.in Helps
We compare online BBA specializations using each university’s official subject lists, eligibility rules and fee pages, so you can see what you would actually study rather than what an advert headline suggests. For digital marketing, that means showing you which universities offer a full specialization, which offer an elective group, and which offer a single subject.
Our advisors can share the current official fee schedule for your shortlist, show you where each programme appears on the UGC-DEB list for your session, and help you prepare questions for each admissions team. The final choice of university and specialization is always yours.
Conclusion
A BBA in digital marketing gives you a three-year business degree with electives in search, social media, email, e-commerce and online advertising. Online, Chandigarh University and Manipal University Jaipur offer it as a named specialization, and ARKA JAIN offers a four-subject elective group. NMIMS, Amity, UPES, SMU and LPU include one digital or e-commerce subject in a general BBA.
Choose by the subject list, not the programme name. Count the digital subjects, check the projects and analytics content, confirm the UGC-DEB listing for your session, and add up the full six-semester cost before you pay. Then use free platform training from Google and Meta to build the tool skills alongside your degree.
FAQs
Which universities offer an online BBA in digital marketing?
Among the nine UGC-DEB listed universities we checked on 3 November 2026, Chandigarh University and Manipal University Jaipur offer Digital Marketing as a named online BBA specialization. ARKA JAIN University offers a Digital Marketing elective group with four subjects. NMIMS, Amity and UPES include one digital marketing subject in their general BBA, and LPU, SMU and GLA name none.
What is the fee for a BBA in digital marketing online?
At the three dedicated options, official fees as checked on 3 November 2026 were ₹17,500 a semester at ARKA JAIN (about ₹1,16,500 with registration and exam fees, our calculation), ₹1,44,000 at Manipal University Jaipur and ₹1,75,000 list at Chandigarh University. Offers can lower these, so confirm the current figure and what it covers before paying.
What is the eligibility for a BBA in digital marketing?
You need to have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. Minimum marks vary: Manipal University Jaipur asks for 40%, UPES 45% and NMIMS 50% (45% for reserved categories), while Chandigarh University and ARKA JAIN state a 10+2 pass in any stream. You also need an ABC-ID to create the DEB-ID required for online programmes.
Is a BBA in digital marketing better than a BBA in marketing?
Neither is better in general. A BBA in marketing gives broader coverage of brands, consumer behaviour, sales and advertising. A BBA in digital marketing replaces most of those electives with search, social media, email and e-commerce subjects. Pick digital if you already want channel work; pick marketing if you want to keep options open.
Do I need Google or Meta certifications with this degree?
They are not required to graduate, but they show you can use a specific platform. Google Skillshop offers Google Ads training and certification, and Meta Blueprint offers free courses and certifications such as Digital Marketing Associate. None of the online BBA pages we checked says a Google or Meta certification exam is included, so plan to take them separately.
