Quick Answer
An MBA in Finance online is a two-year UGC-DEB listed MBA in which the second year focuses on corporate finance, investments, taxation, banking and risk. All nine universities we checked on 3 November 2026 offer a finance track: Amity, Manipal University Jaipur, Sikkim Manipal, LPU, Chandigarh University, NMIMS, UPES, ARKA JAIN and GLA. Listed fees run from about ₹1.05 lakh at GLA to ₹2.33 lakh at CU, and ₹3.29 lakh for Amity’s International Finance track.
Key Highlights
- Every one of the nine universities we checked runs an MBA finance online track, but only four (Amity, CU, NMIMS and ARKA JAIN) list every finance elective by name on the public specialization page.
- Banking and FinTech are separate tracks at some universities: MUJ runs BFSI and IT and FinTech next to Finance, LPU runs Banking and Financial Services, and CU runs a FinTech track with subjects on UPI, blockchain and machine learning.
- Amity’s International Finance track costs ₹3,29,000 at the per-semester rate, about ₹1 lakh more than its Finance and Accounting Management track, and its page claims 9 ACCA paper exemptions.
- Some offers on these pages expire within days: MUJ’s 15% early-bird discount showed a last date of 3 November 2026 and LPU’s 20% Student Grant was valid until 7 November 2026.
- No university page we checked links the degree to a CFA charter or a NISM certificate. Those are separate qualifications with their own rules, and you would take them on your own.
What is an MBA in Finance online?
It is a standard two-year MBA, delivered in online mode, in which you choose Finance as your specialization for the second year. The first year teaches the same core every MBA student takes: accounting, economics, marketing, organisational behaviour, statistics and research methods. The finance subjects arrive in semesters three and four.
That means you are not buying a separate “finance degree”. The degree is an MBA from a particular university, and the specialization shapes your electives and, at most universities, how the specialization is described on your mark sheets. Two checks decide whether a programme is worth your money:
- Is the university listed by UGC-DEB to run an online MBA for your admission session?
- Do its finance electives match the work you do now or want to do next?
The first check is covered in our step-by-step guide to a UGC approved online MBA. Most of this article is about the second check, because that is where the universities differ most.
Is a finance MBA online the same as an MBA in Financial Management or Accounting and Finance?
Mostly, yes. Universities use different labels for very similar tracks. NMIMS calls it “MBA (Finance)” and uses the page name “mba-financial-management”. UPES lists “Financial Management”. Amity calls its main track “Finance and Accounting Management”. GLA lists “Financial Management” as an elective. Whatever the label, compare the subject list, not the name.
Which universities offer an online MBA in Finance?
All nine universities we checked on 3 November 2026 offer a finance track in their online MBA, and four of them also run a banking, BFSI, FinTech or international finance track next to it. Here is the summary from each official page.

What subjects will you study in an online MBA in Finance?
You will study five to eight finance subjects in the second year, on top of a first-year core that already includes accounting and financial management. The topics that appear most often are investment and portfolio management, taxation, mergers and acquisitions, banking and financial services, and international finance. Here is what each university names.
Amity University Online: Finance and Accounting Management
Amity’s Finance and Accounting Management page lists these specialization subjects:
- Semester 3: Cost and Management Accounting for Decision Making, Corporate Tax Planning and Management, Management of Financial Services, Project Planning Appraisal and Control, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management.
- Semester 4: Corporate Restructuring, Mergers and Acquisitions, Strategic Financial Management, Principles and Practices of Banking.
The first year includes Accounting for Managers and Financial Management. Semester three also carries Strategic Management and a Minor Project, and semester four carries a Major Project, Digital Marketing and AI Tools and Applications. This is the closest match to what people mean by an “MBA accounting and finance”: it is strong on costing, tax and corporate finance, with one banking subject.
Amity University Online: International Finance
Amity runs a second finance track, the MBA in International Finance. Its specialization subjects are:
- Semester 3: Business Taxation, International Financial Management, International Financial Reporting, Performance Management.
- Semester 4: Audit and Assurance, Strategic Business Reporting.
Several of these names (Performance Management, Audit and Assurance, Strategic Business Reporting) look like the paper titles used in professional accounting qualifications. The page states that the programme “is accredited by ACCA, UK” and offers 9 ACCA paper exemptions. Those are Amity’s own statements. Before you rely on them, confirm the exemptions directly with ACCA, for example through the exemptions calculator on ACCA’s own website, because exemption rules are set by ACCA and can change.
Manipal University Jaipur: Finance, BFSI and IT and FinTech
MUJ lets you take Finance as a single (super) specialization or as one half of a dual specialization. Its Finance page describes a curriculum that “includes taxation management, treasury management, international financial management, and internal audit and control”, and names security analysis and portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions, insurance and risk management as core finance areas. The first year includes Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Financial Management. The programme carries 90 credits over four semesters, and the page suggests 15 to 20 hours of study a week.
MUJ also runs a separate BFSI specialization. Its page says the track “covers advanced concepts such as principles & practices of insurance, bank management, financial risk management, ALM, treasury management, and financial services”. ALM stands for asset liability management, a core function in banks. MUJ also lists an IT and FinTech specialization among its electives. The semester-wise elective subject names were not visible in the page text we could read, so ask MUJ for the full syllabus before choosing between these three.
Sikkim Manipal University: Finance in a dual specialization
SMU’s online MBA is a dual specialization MBA. You pick any two from Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Systems, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Healthcare. So at SMU, Finance always comes paired with a second area such as Marketing or Systems. The finance subject names were not shown in the page text we read, so request the syllabus.
LPU: Finance and Banking and Financial Services
LPU’s Online MBA in Finance page lists skill areas rather than a semester-wise subject list: International Financial Management, International Banking and Forex Management, and Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, “and many more”. It also mentions financial modelling and LinkedIn Learning access to courses on finance, investment, FinTech and financial analysis.
LPU’s Banking and Financial Services track names Corporate Banking, Financial Statement Analysis and Credit Management, International Banking and Forex Management, and Risk Management. It mentions Excel and the Bloomberg Terminal as tools and blockchain, AI and big data as emerging technologies. Both pages recommend 8 to 10 hours of study a week and describe live plus recorded classes. Ask LPU for the detailed syllabus so you can see the actual subject names and credits.
Chandigarh University: Finance and FinTech
CU publishes the most complete semester-wise structure. Its Online MBA in Finance lists:
- Semester 3 finance electives: Banking and Financial Services Management, Project Finance and Financial Modeling, Tax Planning and Management, International Finance.
- Semester 4 finance electives: Investment Management, Mergers and Acquisitions.
The first-year core includes Financial Reporting and Analysis and Financial Management, and the programme carries 108 credits, including 20 credits of Harvard ManageMentor courses.
CU’s Online MBA in FinTech shares the same core but swaps the electives:
- Semester 3: Digital Payments, UPI and India’s Financial Infrastructure; Block Chain Management; Machine Learning in Fintech; Artificial Intelligence in Fintech.
- Semester 4: Entrepreneurship in FinTech; Fintech: Innovation and Transformation in Financial Services.
NMIMS: MBA (Finance)
NMIMS’s MBA (Finance) page puts Corporate Finance in the semester three core and lists seven finance electives: Capital Market and Portfolio Management, Business Valuation, Financial Derivatives, Strategic Cost Management, Corporate Tax Planning, Investment Banking and International Finance. Its structure shows four elective slots in semester three and three in semester four, so, as we read the structure, you take all seven listed electives across the two semesters. Confirm this with NMIMS. The first year includes Financial Accounting and Cost and Management Accounting. This is the most markets-heavy list in our comparison, with valuation, derivatives and investment banking all named.
UPES: Financial Management
UPES lists Financial Management among the specializations on its UPES online MBA page, along with Logistics and Supply Chain, Human Resource, International Business, Business Analytics and others. When we checked on 3 November 2026, the dedicated Financial Management page loaded only the general UPES Online home content, without subjects or fees. Ask UPES for the specialization syllabus in writing.
ARKA JAIN University: Finance
ARKA JAIN’s ARKA JAIN online MBA page gives a full list:
- Semester 3: Direct and Indirect Taxes, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management, Banking and Insurance, Fintech: Foundations and Applications, plus Business Research Methods, Operations Management and an open elective.
- Semester 4: Indian Financial System and Financial Markets, Wealth Management, International Finance and Investment Banking, Risk Management and Behavioural Finance, plus Strategic Management and a Master Thesis or Project.
For its fee level, this is a broad list that touches tax, markets, wealth management, banking and a FinTech subject.
GLA University: Financial Management elective
GLA’s GLA online MBA page lists Financial Management, Banking and Financial Services, and Risk Management among its MBA electives, but does not publish the subjects inside them. Ask GLA for the course structure document.
How the finance curricula compare at a glance
| Topic area | Amity (F&A) | CU | NMIMS | ARKA JAIN | LPU (skill areas) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Investments and portfolio | Security Analysis and Portfolio Management | Investment Management | Capital Market and Portfolio Management | Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management | Security Analysis and Portfolio Management |
| Taxation | Corporate Tax Planning and Management | Tax Planning and Management | Corporate Tax Planning | Direct and Indirect Taxes | Not named |
| Mergers, valuation and restructuring | Corporate Restructuring, Mergers and Acquisitions | Mergers and Acquisitions | Business Valuation | Not named | Not named |
| Banking and financial services | Principles and Practices of Banking; Management of Financial Services | Banking and Financial Services Management | Investment Banking | Banking and Insurance | International Banking and Forex Management |
| International finance | Not named in this track | International Finance | International Finance | International Finance and Investment Banking | International Financial Management |
| Derivatives and risk | Not named | Not named | Financial Derivatives | Risk Management and Behavioural Finance | Not named |
| Project finance and modelling | Project Planning Appraisal and Control | Project Finance and Financial Modeling | Not named | Not named | Financial modelling (mentioned) |
| FinTech | Not named | Separate FinTech track | Not named | Fintech: Foundations and Applications | Mentioned via LinkedIn Learning |
“Not named” means the official page did not list a subject with that focus. The topic may still sit inside another subject, so use the table to shape questions for the admissions team, not to rule a university out.
How much does an online MBA in Finance cost?
At every university that publishes a figure, the finance track costs the same as its standard online MBA. The exception is Amity’s International Finance track, which costs more. These are the figures on the official pages as checked on 3 November 2026.
| University and track | Listed fee | Extras and offers shown |
|---|---|---|
| GLA University | ₹24,250 per semester; headline “INR 105000/- (All Inclusive)” | Registration ₹2,000 one-time; exam fee ₹1,500 per semester; ₹4,000 benefit on full-fee payment |
| ARKA JAIN University | ₹25,000 per semester | Registration ₹2,500; exam fee ₹3,000 per year |
| Sikkim Manipal University | ₹30,000 per semester; ₹1,20,000 course fee | Application fee ₹500; page showed a 10% discount on full, annual and semester payment |
| UPES | Not shown on the specialization page on 3 November 2026 | UPES’s main MBA page said “starting at ₹1,75,000” when we checked on 21 October 2026 |
| Manipal University Jaipur (Finance or BFSI) | ₹46,000 per semester; ₹1,84,000 course fee | Application fee ₹500; 15% early-bird discount with a last admission date of 3 November 2026; EMI from ₹6,517 a month |
| LPU (Finance or Banking and Financial Services) | Actual fee ₹50,000 per semester, including a ₹2,000 exam fee | 20% Student Grant bringing it to ₹40,400 per semester, valid until 7 November 2026; registration ₹1,000, non-refundable |
| NMIMS MBA (Finance) | ₹55,000 per semester; ₹1,05,000 per year; ₹1,96,000 full programme | Processing ₹1,200; exam ₹800 per subject per attempt; project ₹800 per attempt |
| Amity Finance and Accounting Management | ₹56,300 per semester | One-time ₹2,07,000; annual ₹1,06,880; no-cost EMI ₹8,906 a month for 24 months |
| Chandigarh University (Finance or FinTech) | ₹2,33,500 programme fee | 25% early-bird scholarship bringing it to ₹1,75,125 (₹43,781 per semester); seat booking ₹10,000 |
| Amity International Finance | ₹82,300 per semester (₹3,29,000) | One-time ₹3,02,680; annual ₹1,56,280; no-cost EMI ₹13,022 a month |
A few things are worth working out before you compare these figures.
GLA’s headline adds up. Our calculation: the ₹97,000 tuition total plus ₹6,000 in exam fees plus the ₹2,000 registration fee comes to ₹1,05,000, which matches the “all inclusive” headline.
ARKA JAIN’s total is not printed. Our calculation: four semesters at ₹25,000 plus two years of exam fees at ₹3,000 plus the ₹2,500 registration fee comes to ₹1,08,500.
NMIMS’s payment plan changes the total. Our calculation: four semester payments of ₹55,000 come to ₹2,20,000, two annual payments of ₹1,05,000 come to ₹2,10,000, and the full-programme option is ₹1,96,000. Exam fees are charged per subject on top, so ask how many subjects you will sit in total.
LPU’s grant appears to apply to tuition only. Our calculation: 80% of the ₹48,000 tuition portion is ₹38,400, and adding the ₹2,000 exam fee gives ₹40,400, which is the discounted figure shown. The grant was valid until 7 November 2026, so check whether a new offer replaces it.
CU’s programme fee has moved. On 29 October 2026, CU’s MBA pages showed ₹2,20,000; on 3 November 2026 the Finance and FinTech pages showed ₹2,33,500 before the 25% early-bird scholarship. The page gives no end date for that scholarship.
Offers like these change often, so treat the table as a snapshot and ask for the written fee schedule for your session. Our full breakdown of online MBA fees covers EMI, extras and refund questions for every partner.
Which is the cheapest online MBA in Finance?
On listed fees, GLA (about ₹1.05 lakh all inclusive) and ARKA JAIN (about ₹1.09 lakh by our calculation) are the lowest, followed by Sikkim Manipal at ₹1.20 lakh before its discount. Cheapest is not the same as best value, though. ARKA JAIN publishes a full finance subject list, GLA publishes only the elective names, and SMU gives you finance as one half of a dual specialization. Compare what you get for the fee, and check the UGC-DEB position described later in this article.
Finance, BFSI, FinTech or International Finance: which track should you pick?
Pick Finance if you want corporate finance, investments and tax. Pick BFSI or Banking and Financial Services if you work in, or want to move into, a bank, NBFC or insurer. Pick FinTech if you work where finance meets technology, such as payments, lending platforms or product roles. Pick International Finance if your work involves cross-border reporting, treasury or foreign exchange, or if the ACCA link matters to you.
| If your goal is… | Lean towards | Why, based on the official subject lists |
|---|---|---|
| Corporate finance, FP&A or controllership | Finance (Amity F&A, NMIMS, CU, MUJ) | Cost and management accounting, strategic financial management, valuation, M&A |
| Investments, equity research or wealth management | Finance with a markets focus (NMIMS, ARKA JAIN) | Capital markets, derivatives, portfolio management, wealth management |
| Banking, credit and insurance | BFSI (MUJ) or Banking and Financial Services (LPU) | Bank management, ALM, credit management, insurance, corporate banking |
| Payments, digital lending or finance product roles | FinTech (CU) or IT and FinTech (MUJ) | Digital payments and UPI, blockchain, machine learning in FinTech |
| Cross-border reporting, treasury or forex | International Finance (Amity) or Finance with international subjects (CU, NMIMS, LPU) | International financial management and reporting, forex management |
If your work sits between two of these, a dual specialization helps. MUJ and SMU both allow two specializations, so Finance plus Marketing, or Finance plus Analytics, is possible. If you are also weighing a trade-focused path, our guide to the online MBA international business specialization explains how International Business differs from International Finance, with the subject lists side by side.
Is FinTech a replacement for a Finance MBA?
No. FinTech tracks drop several classic finance electives to make room for technology subjects. At CU, for example, choosing FinTech means you do not take the Finance track’s Tax Planning, Investment Management or Mergers and Acquisitions electives, although both tracks share the same first-year core with Financial Reporting and Analysis and Financial Management. If you want both, look for a university that offers FinTech as a single subject inside a finance track, as ARKA JAIN does with Fintech: Foundations and Applications.
What professional qualifications pair well with an online MBA in Finance?
The most common pairings are the CFA Program for investment roles, NISM certifications for securities market roles, and CA or ACCA for accounting roles. None of the university pages we checked builds a CFA charter or a NISM certificate into the MBA, so treat them as separate goals with separate costs, exams and rules. Here is what each body says on its own official site.
CFA Program
According to CFA Institute's programme page, the CFA Program “is made up of three exams”, and it recommends about 300 hours of study per level. To use the charter, you also need “at least 4,000 hours of relevant work experience, completed in no fewer than 36 months”, and CFA Institute says that experience must either directly involve the investment decision-making process or meet the other conditions it sets; read its full rules before counting on your current role. An MBA does not replace any CFA level. Some learners find that the portfolio management and valuation subjects in an MBA make the early CFA material more familiar, but that is a study benefit, not an exemption.
NISM certifications
The National Institute of Securities Markets describes itself as a public trust established in 2006 by SEBI. Its NISM certification examinations include mandatory and non-mandatory exams for securities market professionals. NISM’s own site says SEBI requires NISM certification for certain roles, naming mutual fund distributors, research analysts and compliance officers. Examples from its list are the NISM-Series-V-A Mutual Fund Distributors exam, the NISM-Series-XV Research Analyst exam and the NISM-Series-X-A Investment Adviser (Level 1) exam.
The practical point is simple. If you want to distribute mutual funds, publish research or give investment advice in India, the MBA alone is not enough for that specific role; check which NISM certification SEBI’s rules require for it.
CA and ACCA
The Chartered Accountant qualification in India is awarded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, which sets its own entry routes, articleship and exams. An online MBA does not count towards the CA. Going the other way, both CU and UPES state that CA and ICWA qualified candidates are eligible to apply for their MBA, which suits accountants who want management breadth.
ACCA is a UK body. Amity is the only university in this comparison that claims ACCA exemptions for an MBA track. Confirm the exact papers with ACCA before you treat them as settled, and check what ACCA charges to register and claim them.
What roles does an MBA in Finance prepare you for?
It prepares you for roles in corporate finance, investments, banking, credit, insurance and financial planning, but the role you can move into depends heavily on your current experience. We do not quote salary or placement figures, because no official dataset covers online MBA graduates by specialization. Job titles that the universities themselves list on their finance pages include:
- Financial Analyst, Accounts Executive and Finance Associate (Amity, entry level)
- Finance Manager, Financial Planning Analyst and Investment Manager (Amity, mid level)
- Corporate Finance Manager, Financial Planner, Credit Analyst, Private Equity Analyst and Financial Risk Manager (MUJ)
- Corporate Banking Manager, Wealth Manager, Insurance Manager and Relationship Manager (MUJ BFSI)
- Financial Advisor, Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager (NMIMS)
- Trade Finance roles, Treasury Analyst and International Risk Manager (Amity International Finance)
Read these as directions rather than promises. An accounts executive with three years of experience is well placed to use the MBA for a move into a finance manager or FP&A role. A fresh graduate with no finance exposure will usually start lower, whatever the specialization says. And some roles, such as research analyst or investment adviser, also need the regulatory certification described above.
Who should choose an online MBA in Finance?
It suits you if your current or target role involves budgets, reporting, investments, credit, banking products or financial planning. It is a poor fit if you dislike numbers and spreadsheets, because both the core and the finance electives are quantitative.
People who tend to get the most from it:
- Accountants and finance executives who want to move from transaction work into analysis or management.
- Bank, NBFC and insurance employees who want a management degree that matches their sector (BFSI or banking tracks fit best).
- Engineers and IT professionals moving towards FinTech, product or analytics roles in financial services.
- Family business members who want to manage funding, working capital and tax planning more confidently.
- CA, CMA or commerce graduates who want management breadth on top of technical accounting skills.
Most learners on this path are already in a job. Our guide to the online MBA for working professionals covers study planning, exam formats and eligibility around a full-time role, and our explainer on studying MBA online shows how classes, the LMS and proctored exams usually work.
Can you do an online MBA in Finance without a commerce background?
Yes. Every university here accepts a bachelor’s degree in any discipline; the finance specialization does not add a subject requirement. Minimum marks vary. Amity asks for 40% (with an admission test below that). MUJ and NMIMS ask for 50% (45% for reserved categories). ARKA JAIN asks for 50% (45% for reserved categories) and accepts final-semester students. UPES asks for 50%, with a relaxation for candidates with at least two years of work experience. CU accepts a bachelor’s in any discipline. If you have never studied accounting, expect the first-semester accounting subject to take extra effort, because every finance elective builds on it.
How do you judge a finance curriculum before enrolling?
Read the subject names, map them to the work you want, then ask for the detail behind them. A balanced finance curriculum for most learners covers five areas: corporate finance and valuation, investments and markets, taxation, banking and financial services, and risk.
A simple scoring method:
- List the semester three and four finance subjects for each university on your shortlist.
- Mark which of the five areas above each subject covers.
- Check whether the programme includes a project or dissertation you could base on a real problem at work, such as a working capital review or a credit appraisal.
- Ask whether the course uses Excel-based financial modelling, and whether any market data tools are provided.
- Ask how each subject is assessed: assignments, case analyses, projects or term-end exams only.
On the published lists, NMIMS and ARKA JAIN score well on investments and markets, Amity and CU score well on corporate finance and tax, and MUJ’s BFSI and LPU’s Banking and Financial Services score well on banking. LPU, SMU, UPES and GLA need the full syllabus before you can score them fairly.
What should you check before you enrol?
Check the UGC-DEB listing first, then the specialization detail, then the money.
- UGC-DEB status. Amity University Uttar Pradesh, MUJ, SMU, LPU, CU, NMIMS and UPES appear with an MBA on the 2026-27 entitled list. GLA University’s row on that list (row 115) also includes an MBA. ARKA JAIN appears on the 2026-27 recognised list for an MBA (General), so ask ARKA JAIN how the Finance specialization will appear on your degree and mark sheets.
- Exact track name. Finance, Financial Management, BFSI and FinTech are different tracks at some universities. Make sure your application names the one you want.
- Full syllabus. Especially at LPU, SMU, UPES and GLA, where the public page does not list every finance subject.
- Dual specialization rules. Which pairings are allowed and in which semester you choose.
- Total cost in writing. Including registration, exam, project and resit fees, and whether an offer applies to all four semesters.
- Offer deadlines. MUJ’s and LPU’s offers were close to expiry on the day we checked. Do not let a countdown push you into paying before you have the syllabus and fee schedule.
- Admission steps. Our online MBA admission guide covers the DEB-ID, the ABC ID and the documents you will need.
If a finance page promises certain jobs, salaries or professional exemptions, ask for the written basis of each claim. For what different badges and approvals do and do not prove, see our explainer on the accredited online MBA.
Want help matching a finance track to your goal? Share your graduation marks, work experience and the role you are aiming for, and an admission advisor can help you shortlist the universities whose finance subjects fit and send you their current official fee schedules.
How GetOnlineDegree.in Helps
We compare online MBA programmes from UGC-DEB listed universities using their official pages, so you can see finance subject lists, fees and eligibility side by side. For a finance specialization in particular, we can help you work out whether Finance, BFSI, FinTech or International Finance fits your goal, request syllabus details that are missing from public pages, and confirm the university’s DEB listing for your admission session. We do not promise placements or salaries. The decision stays with you, and our job is to make sure it rests on official information.
Conclusion
An online MBA in Finance is a standard two-year MBA with a finance-focused second year, and all nine universities we checked offer one. The useful differences are in the subject lists and the money. NMIMS and ARKA JAIN publish the most markets-heavy lists, Amity and CU lean towards corporate finance and tax, and MUJ’s BFSI and LPU’s Banking and Financial Services suit banking careers. CU’s FinTech track trades classic electives for payments, blockchain and machine learning. Listed fees run from about ₹1.05 lakh at GLA to ₹2.33 lakh at CU before its scholarship, with Amity’s ACCA-linked International Finance track higher still.
Choose the track whose subjects you will use in your next role, confirm the UGC-DEB listing for your session, and get the syllabus and fee schedule in writing before you pay. If you want a CFA charter, a NISM certificate, a CA or ACCA, plan for it separately.
FAQs
Which universities offer an MBA in Finance online in India?
Among the universities we checked on 3 November 2026, Amity University Online, Manipal University Jaipur, Sikkim Manipal University, LPU, Chandigarh University, NMIMS, UPES, ARKA JAIN University and GLA University all offer a finance specialization in their online MBA. Some also run related tracks: BFSI and IT and FinTech at MUJ, Banking and Financial Services at LPU, FinTech at CU and International Finance at Amity.
Is an online MBA in Finance valid in India?
The specialization does not affect validity. What matters is that the university and its MBA appear on the UGC-DEB list for your admission session. Under UGC’s 2020 regulations, an online degree from a recognised university is treated as equivalent to the same degree in conventional mode. Check the current DEB list, and ask how your specialization will appear on the mark sheets, before you pay any fee.
What is the fee for an MBA in Finance online course?
On 3 November 2026, official pages showed about ₹1.05 lakh all inclusive at GLA, ₹25,000 per semester at ARKA JAIN, ₹1,20,000 at SMU, ₹1,84,000 at MUJ, ₹50,000 per semester at LPU before its grant, ₹1,96,000 to ₹2,20,000 at NMIMS depending on the payment plan, ₹2,07,000 to ₹2,25,000 at Amity and ₹2,33,500 at CU before its scholarship.
Does an online MBA in Finance give CFA or NISM certification?
No. None of the university pages we checked includes a CFA charter or a NISM certificate in the MBA. The CFA Program has three exams and a 4,000-hour work experience requirement set by CFA Institute. NISM, established by SEBI, runs its own certification exams, some of which SEBI requires for roles such as mutual fund distribution and research analysis.
Should I choose Finance, BFSI or FinTech?
Choose Finance for corporate finance, investments and tax. Choose BFSI or Banking and Financial Services if you work in or want to join a bank, NBFC or insurer. Choose FinTech if you work in payments, digital lending or finance product roles. Compare each university’s official subject list, because the same label can hide quite different electives.
